CAREERS

Build the instrument that doesn't exist.

Fast optical signal has worked since 1995. What has never existed is hardware designed for it. Come help us build a future of true telepathic use-cases.

HOW WE WORK

The specifics, so you can decide quickly.

STAGE
Seed. Incorporated June 2025. We have working prototype electronics and a characterization program, not a product.
TEAM SIZE
Nine, and eight of them are engineers or scientists. You would be a meaningful fraction of the technical staff, with the responsibilities and upside that implies.
WHERE
Remote-first. R&D and partnerships run out of San Francisco, operations out of Chicago, and bench work happens in Champaign, near where the method was developed. Hardware roles need regular time at the bench — expect ~1 week per quarter on site.
WHAT WE DON'T DO
No on-call. No customer escalations — we have no customers yet. If you want a mature codebase and a clear spec, this is the wrong company right now.

OPEN ROLES

Signal Processing EngineerRemote, US

What you'd own

  • Demodulation and the data pipeline that turns raw optical samples into a usable time series.
  • Artefact handling: motion, systemic physiology, and the slow hemodynamic signal sitting on top of the fast one.
  • Deciding, honestly, when an effect is real.

What we're looking for

  • Strong grounding in estimation and detection theory.
  • Experience with modern AI/ML pipelines and signals with poor signal-to-noise ratios.
  • Biosignal experience helps but is not required.
